Philosocking has been around since 1926, when a woman named Ida Cook had an idea to create a special woolen sock to cheer up her husband after he lost his job. The name Philosock is derived from Ida’s surname and the Greek word for love (φιλία). Philosocks have been helping to spread love ever since then!
Philosocking started out as a small business with just one employee in Coppell, Texas. Today, it has grown into a company with many employees who work hard every day to provide their customers with socks for any occasion or season.
