I Tried a Sock Subscription Service and Here's What I Thought
Socks are probably the least exciting clothing article I own, but also the most necessary. That’s why it makes perfect sense to sign up for a sock subscription service like sock of the month Club, which ensures that you always have a fresh pair of socks on hand without having to go out and buy them yourself every month. Here are my thoughts on this fun but very functional sock subscription service.
My sock drawer was in need of some organization
Having what feels like a million pairs of socks in my drawer is not only annoying, but it's also hard to find the right pair when it's time to get dressed. So when I saw that there were sock subscriptions services, it seemed like an interesting solution. The idea behind these services is that you subscribe to monthly deliveries of fresh, cool socks. You can even sign up for more than one at a time if you want to share some with your significant other or gift them as gifts.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
When it comes to clothing, I don't have very high expectations. But my best friend really wanted me to try something from this new company that just hit the market. She insisted it was different from the usual types of things we get as gifts and wanted me to try it for her. The cool thing about this is that you could skip a month if you're too busy with work or what not. But anyways, when my subscription came in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging - it's so creative! I loved that they came in individual little paper bags each containing two pairs of socks (cool socks!) inside which made them even more fun because they were like little presents.
Preparing for the box
Overall, the socks were cool! They are great quality, the designs are fun and they came at a decent time. The only downside is that they're so expensive. After looking around on their website, it seems that $35 is their cheapest price. With that being said, if you're looking for cool socks to wear in your free time or as an accessory for your outfits then these are perfect for you!
My first month with Stance Socks
Stance Socks is an online sock subscription service that offers monthly deliveries of six pairs of socks to wear with everything. I subscribed to the service because it seemed like an interesting concept, but what really sold me was their offer for customers to provide feedback on the service. The first month, Stance delivered three pairs of socks which included one pair each from the light-weight Fresh line, the medium-weight Daily line, and the heavy-weight Retro line. The socks were all good quality with a moderate amount of stretch that made them comfortable to wear.
Final thoughts
Overall, this was an excellent idea for a gift. I will be ordering one as soon as possible to give as gifts. The socks themselves are very comfortable and come in great colors. The fact that they are delivered monthly is perfect for when you need a little something for someone but don't know what to get them. If you're not sure about getting the subscription, there is a 30 day trial period that lets you try out the service before committing.
