Why I Cancelled My Sock of the Month Subscription

Why I Cancelled My sock of the month Subscription

My name is Nicholas, and I’m here to tell you why I cancelled my sock of the month subscription service, sock of the month Club. It was fun while it lasted, but they just weren’t meeting my needs anymore and it made me question whether or not they had my best interests in mind. In this review, I’ll show you how sock of the month Club worked, why I decided to cancel, and how you can prevent your subscription from meeting an untimely demise too!

What is a sock of the month club?

Although they have plenty of uses, socks are really made for one thing: keeping your feet warm and protected. After all, that’s their main purpose. As a result, it seems strange to send people an entire month’s worth of socks each and every month. Sure, colorful socks are fun, but you can wear them just once or twice before their novelty wears off completely. A sock subscription service just doesn’t seem like it would be worth it! Of course, my interest was piqued because there is nothing more important to us as customers than our feet! That said, there was only one way to find out if these sock subscriptions were a good deal: by signing up for one myself! But which one should I sign up for?

Pros and Cons of Monthly Subscriptions

One thing to be aware of when signing up for a monthly subscription is that it’s easy to start forgetting about and ignoring your items. Since you have a new box every month, your most recent box is always fresh in your mind, while older boxes are pushed farther and farther back in your memory. This means if you don’t like one of your items or discover an issue with it, it can be hard to remember if you received that item last month or last year when it would have been more relevant and convenient for you to deal with. While time-delayed shipping can be convenient at times, ultimately I think this factor alone makes buying one sock at a time a better option.

How to Choose a Quality Sock Subscription Service

Choosing a quality sock subscription service isn’t an easy task. There are many options out there and not all of them can be trusted. In order to choose a quality sock subscription service, you’ll need to do your research and get recommendations from people who have tried out a few different companies. A few questions to ask when picking a subscription service include: How many colors do they offer? Are they heavy socks or light? What material are they made from? Once you’ve narrowed down your choices, try out one or two sock subscriptions to see which you like best before committing to anything long-term.

Does Wash Wear Really Matter?

The truth is, most socks are made with high-quality materials that will last you a long time. Because of that, wash wear isn’t really something you need to worry about. There are a few things that could reduce your sock lifespan—like washing them in hot water and drying them on high heat—but for most people, it's nothing worth fretting over. A lot of us have been led to believe that expensive clothes will last longer than inexpensive ones; and if money can be exchanged for quality and longevity, then why wouldn't we want to buy more expensive products?

There are lots of choices out there, which one should you choose?

There are literally hundreds of sock subscription services, which one should you choose? Personally, I’m a huge fan of colorful socks and tend to gravitate towards those brands with a little more flair. You may love fun patterns or if you prefer plain black and white, there’s an option for that too. But regardless, check out these 7 options before signing up for your next sock subscription!

Final Thoughts

The socks were colourful, which is nice because some color variety in socks can be difficult to find. The socks are also very warm and very comfortable. The quality is also pretty good. However, they're not as durable as I'd like them to be, so if you have a lot of walking or lots of stuff that you carry with you on a daily basis, it may be worth spending a little more money on an older pair. Although these are great for everyday use when you aren't carrying much stuff around with you.
