Philosockphy's Sock of the Month: Five Creative Ways to Fold Your Socks

Philosockphy's sock of the month: Five Creative Ways to Fold Your Socks

Folding your socks might seem like an easy task, but sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference in the world. Philosophy sock of the month aims to deliver you not only quality socks, but also quality sock-folding tips and tricks! Check out these five creative ways to fold your socks like never before!

Four out of four ways will help you sleep

1) The Zipper-stitch. This is a great way for those who are left-handed, have arthritis or any other issue that makes it difficult to use their fingers. The zipper-stitch is done by making an S shape with one hand, and then zipping it up with the other hand. It can also be used when both hands are injured or otherwise occupied. It's also a good technique for those who want to avoid damaging their nails. 2) The Knee Method (like you're kneeling). This is perfect if you don't want your socks to go over your heel and stay in place better than some of the other methods.

Four out of four ways will impress your colleagues or friends.

This month, we'll be focusing on how you can impress your colleagues and friends with a simple fold. Philosockphy's sock of the month is a monthly sock subscription that sends you two pairs of socks each month. This means you have four different ways to impress your friends and colleagues in this post alone.

1) Knee-high socks: Just fold your sock like normal, only higher up near your knee. You might feel ridiculous when you put them on, but who cares? They're great for so many occasions, including wearing underneath pants or skirts that are too short.

Four out of four ways can be used as gifts

1. The T-Shirt Box: This is a great way for men who have a lot of dress shirts lying around to use them for storing socks and other small items. As you can see in the photo, you'll need two t-shirts and some scissors. First, cut off one sleeve from each shirt, then cut off the bottom hem from both sleeves. You will now have two long pieces with raw edges that can be folded over to create a box like structure. Place your socks inside and fold down one side, then repeat on the other side. Secure with tape or glue and voila! You've got yourself a perfectly sized sock container that won't take up much space in your closet (and it also looks like an adorable gift).

Four out of four ways are different

1. Stack them up and fold in half. 2. Roll them into a tube and then fold in half again. 3. Tuck one sock into the other, making sure they don't overlap, and then fold in half vertically so that they're both wrapped inside each other like a package. 4.
