What's the right sock subscription service for you?

Philosockphy is important for all our clothing and socks are no exception. Fortunately, there are plenty of sock subscription services to choose from these days that can help keep your style fresh. If you’re looking for a little more selection than what Target or Wal-Mart has to offer, then going straight to a specialized sock service may be just what you need. Let’s take a look at some of your options

Guide to making your own sock of the month club

If you’re looking for a sock subscription, one easy way to get started is to make your own. When making your own sock of the month club, it’s important to remember that there are generally three materials used in socks: cotton, wool and cashmere. Each material has its pros and cons. Here's a guide on how to choose between them!

What's so great about Philosockphy anyway?

Philosockphy is a socks subscription service that offers men, women and kids sock of every shape, size and material. When it comes to socks, there’s no one-size-fits-all—and Philosockphy delivers in spades. Men love their cashmere pair; women swear by their wool pair and kids are obsessed with their basic cotton pairs. Just because you can wear them all year long doesn’t mean you have to. If you prefer keeping things simple, our basic cotton option is your go-to for summer months—or even all year round if you don’t mind showing a little ankle! And our cashmere socks make a stylish addition to any outfit, even on winter days when wool might be too much warmth for comfort.

Our Philosophy on Socks

As a sock of the month service, we're always looking for new socks to add to our lineup. In fact, we have new socks in development right now and plan on launching them soon. Our company goal is to make sure that you always have a fresh pair of handmade socks at your doorstep each month; so naturally, we choose what materials to include based off feedback from our customers. The most common request from men and women alike is for us to carry more varieties of cashmere socks; but since cashmere comes at a premium price point, we don't want to sacrifice value for quality (to stay true to our philosophy). However, recently there's been an influx of budget friendly sock makers who are selling high-quality cotton blends that aren't hurting anyone's wallet.

How we make our socks

Our socks are handmade using quality cashmere, wool or cotton. While any of these materials make a great sock, we like to use a combination of cashmere and merino wool in each pair to ensure a snug fit, prevent sliding down and wick moisture away from your feet. How do you choose which material is best for socks? It really comes down to personal preference, but we prefer wool during winter and cotton or combed cashmere during summer months. In both cases you'll want to try wearing each type on your hand before buying new socks so that you can feel how it feels against your skin! Wool will be coarser than cotton as it's rougher at first and might itch until worn in.

How much are Philosockphy socks?

These socks are a great value. Most stores will sell you cotton socks for $10-15 per pair, and some even charge $20! Many other wool sock companies will be about $12-18 for a pair of wool socks. At Philosockphy, we’re offering our cashmere/wool blend socks for just $9 each.

Can I have a pair as a sample please?!

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of research into new socks! It seems like each year there are more types of socks on the market. This year in particular has been an interesting one; I’ve seen new styles and materials than ever before! When it comes to things like sock design, fit, style and material there are hundreds of options available.
