What's your favorite beer? What's your favorite wine? What's your favorite cocktail?

Drinking games and socks. Now, who doesn't love them both? At Philosockphy, we love our socks and drinking games, so much so that we thought it would be great to combine them in one place! That's right, we're talking about socks of the month with drinking games! Of course, you'll need more than just socks in order to make this concept work. We've got you covered!

Morning Drinks

When you've just woken up, it's best to drink clear liquids, such as water and broth. This is why a glass of orange juice before hitting snooze might not be in your best interest; if you're dehydrated when you go to sleep, it will take longer for your body to rehydrate, which could leave you feeling worse than before. Having a full glass of ice-cold water ready is a great way to make sure that doesn't happen, while also stocking up on electrolytes that help with cellular function. The added bonus: Drinking water and broth helps reduce bloating from salt retention during sleep.

Afternoon Drinks

Most of us spend our mornings drinking coffee, but what about mid-afternoon or even evening drinks? Most people have busy work schedules, which doesn't leave a lot of time for sit-down meals. Take some time to enjoy a glass of your favorite drink—it'll help you kick back after a long day at work. If that means having red wine while putting on your socks in front of Netflix, do it! Your feet will thank you later. Whether it’s an iced coffee with cream in bed, or a mint julep on your patio (as I sip mine), there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself every once in awhile!

Evening Drinks

Drinks are always better when they're enjoyed with friends and a lot of laughter. Once you're seated around a table, though, it can be tricky to figure out what game to play. If you want to test your guests' knowledge, go for fun trivia questions or riddles. But if you want to keep things casual and low-key, consider playing some of these fast-paced drinking games that get everyone involved in a few minutes: Balloon pop: This is one of those simple party games that anyone can play (provided everyone is over 21). Get balloons from any party store or toy store; fill them with water or sand; then try popping as many as possible before time runs out.

Nighttime Drinks

We all know that beers, wines and cocktails taste great with a meal (even if we rarely have one). But nighttime drinks are also great for unwinding after a hard day at work. When you're putting in long hours and making big deals, there's nothing better than firing up Netflix, grabbing a bottle of wine or a six-pack and lounging around until you pass out. If that sounds like an ideal evening to you, then it might be time to swap out those boring old wines and craft beers for something more exciting. Here are three adult beverages that take relaxing from good to great.

Shots of Deliciousness

I've seen it a million times. At a party people will drink their favorite local brew, open up a fancy bottle of expensive wine, or mix up some new concoction and then expect to have a conversation about anything other than what they're drinking. Silly them. If you're going to make drinks such as those, why not go all out and actually enjoy them? Drinking games are fun because they add another layer to whatever you're doing. They take what is normally an individual pastime into something social, competitive (not always...), and shareable with everyone else in that room. To play along is simple: just pick one of these rules-based drinking games below, grab some friends and let me know how you do! I'll get off my soapbox now...
