Sock Subscription of the Month Club: The Gift That Keeps on Giving (Or, Five Creative Ways to Fold Your Socks)

You’ve received a sock subscription as a gift (or, you know, bought one yourself), and it’s sitting on your dresser like an adorable little pile of socks, not sure what to do with itself. Well, the easiest way to make sure those socks get used is to fold them up and put them in a drawer so you don’t have to think about them again until the next month comes around. But there’s no reason why you can’t have fun with them, too!

Use your sock as a cowl

Don't go through life wearing your socks! Instead, try these five creative ways to fold your socks.

What is a Philosockphy?

A Philosockphy is an idea or principle that has been repeated so many times as to have become accepted as true without critical examination.

Put it around your neck

For many people, socks are a go-to Christmas or birthday gift. But for those who might not be getting enough use out of their socks - or if you're looking for a more personal way to show someone you care - take the time this season to create a sock subscription. By signing up for Philosockphy's monthly sock club, your giftee will get two new pairs every month delivered directly to their doorstep.

If they love them as much as we do, they'll never have to worry about running out of clean socks again!

Pull it over your hair as a hat

#5- Pull it over your hair as a hat. This is a cool style for both men and women. Men can pull their socks down over their head, and then tuck them into their waistband or back pockets. Women may want to use bobby pins or hair clips to secure them in place.

Wear it backwards as a headband

Fold a sock in half and then fold it into thirds. Loop one end over the other, pull it tight and tuck it under. Place your hand inside and use your fingers to push everything up and over so that you have a little headband. Finish by tying a knot around the top for an adjustable fit.

Use it as an oven mitt

We've all been there. Trying to grab a hot pan out of the oven with a pot holder or towel, only to have it fall from our grip and land on our foot. It's excruciating! To avoid this potentially painful situation, try using your socks as oven mitts. The thick fabric will protect your hands and feet while you pull that casserole out of the oven or remove that tray full of cookies from the oven rack.
