With the right subscription, you won’t have to worry about that problem anymore. Plus, these sock subscriptions will put a smile on your face every time you open up the latest month’s package from your sock subscription of the month club. Here are five creative ways to fold your socks when you get them in the mail from an ongoing sock subscription that helps you keep track of how many pairs of each color you own!
Start with an Emptied Laundry Basket
I'm a woman who does all of her own laundry. I've learned a lot about how to make my life easier and get more done in the process. One thing that I've found works for me is a sock subscription of the month club - which means I always have fresh socks waiting for me when I need them. Here are five creative ways you can fold your socks, depending on your needs and preferences...
Step 1 - Vertical
Fold your sock by rolling it from top to bottom. This is good for socks that are tall. If you have a lot of socks and don't want them all in one drawer, consider using one shelf for tall socks and one shelf for short or medium height socks. You can even use different shelves for different colors so it's easier to find a matching pair when you need it!
Fold your sock by rolling it from side to side so that both sides line up. This is good if you have a lot of socks because this method will allow you to see more pairs at once and make them easier to find.
Step 2 - Horizontal
Everyone has a favorite way to fold their socks and it can be hard to get used to another person's style. You might have a very special technique that you've been doing since childhood, or you might have picked up a few tips and tricks from friends or family members over the years.
No matter how you fold your socks, there are some benefits - whether it's for convenience, organization, or just for fun! Whatever your preference may be, here are five creative ways that might change the way you think about folding your socks.
1) Lay them flat in rainbow order (by color) with the colors going from lightest at one end of the spectrum to darkest on the other end.
Step 3 - Diagonal
This sock folding method is a personal favorite. The beauty of this technique is that it can be used for just about any type of sock. You might want to take a moment and try out a few different types to see which you prefer.
-Lay your socks flat in front of you with the toes touching each other and heels meeting at one end. -Fold over half your socks, then fold over the other half so that both feet are together (diagonally). -Fold up one side so that it meets with the opposite foot’s heel. -Fold up the other side so that it meets with the opposite foot’s heel. Now you have two sections, one for each foot and they should resemble little bows.
Step 4 - Over Under
One way to fold your socks is called over-under. To start, take a pair of socks and place them over each other with toes touching. Hold one sock in each hand and pull one sock over the other until you can see both heels on top of each other. Now you'll want to pull up from the heel and down from the toe, then tuck under any excess fabric that may be sticking out. The result will be a single sock with two pairs inside it (one facing up, one facing down).
Step 5 - Zipper Method
The last and most interesting way to fold socks is the zipper method. Start by folding your socks in half so that they are in a line. Then, put one sock on top of the other and hold them together with one hand. Use your other hand to push down on the back of the sock you're holding, then pull it over and up until it is situated underneath its partner. This should create a neat little row of two neatly folded socks! Be careful not to stretch or pull too hard when doing this method; you don't want any ripping or tearing.
