Gather your materials
Finding it difficult to keep your socks organized? Well, you're not alone. Check out these five great ways to fold your socks so that they stay in place and you can find them when you need them.
1) The Philosockphy- If one sock is longer than the other, fold it over so that both are the same size. Then, place each sock inside the other with their toes touching and tuck one into a crease in the other. This method is used for pairs with different colors or patterns.
2) The Bundle- Put all of your socks into a bundle as if they were individual packages of toilet paper--the more tightly you wrap them, the better they'll stay together.
1) The first way – socks in a box
The first way is called socks in a box. This is where you lay your socks out flat and fold them in half. Then, you fold each sock in half again. You should end up with a pair of neatly folded socks that are easy to store or take with you on-the-go.
2) The second way – socks rolled up
If you're looking for a way that is a bit more unique, try rolling your socks up. This is perfect for any type of sock that's not too thick and can be rolled without breaking in half. Simply take the sock from one hand and roll it up tightly. Then, place the other hand on top and gently push down until it sticks. Make sure you keep some tension on your hands so that they don't fall apart while still being gentle enough so as not to make them uncomfortable. Once you have both socks rolled up into one tube, wrap them with an elastic band or twist tie.
3) The third way – socks rolled around a bar of soap
The third way is Philosockphy. This is a very easy technique, even for those with poor dexterity in their hands. Simply find a bar of soap that you're willing to sacrifice, and wrap your socks around it. The shape might not be perfect, but you'll have clean socks and a new bar of soap!
4) The fourth way – two pairs intertwined
The second option is a little more unique and takes a bit more effort. This style is called Philosockphy and it's my personal favorite. It's what I use at home because it really shows that you take your socks seriously. The process is pretty simple, just lay two pairs flat on top of each other, get them as close together as possible, and make sure they're parallel by lining up their edges. Then pick them up so they're in one hand, with one sock in front of the other, and tie them together around the back at the bottom. Make sure you pull them tight enough so there are no gaps between the two pairs. You should have something that looks like a knot or bow made out of socks!
