1) Flat

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about cool socks. You know what I'm talking about-those that don't match your outfit but are so freaking awesome you have to wear them anyway. And there's nothing worse than having a great pair of cool socks and not being able to find a matching pair in your drawer. Well, here are five ways for you to fold your socks so they're ready for next time. Enjoy!

1) Overlap method- lay two pairs overlapping on top of each other, with the ends coming up from underneath one another at a 90 degree angle.

2) Rolled

Rolled socks are fast and easy, but not as cool as some other methods. It's also a great way to get your kids involved in doing their own laundry. Instead of rolling up your socks, fold them in half lengthwise and lay them on top of each other with the heel seam facing towards you. Next, fold one sock in half so that it matches the size of your first sock, then turn it upside down so that its heel seam is facing away from you. Place this new sock on top of your first one with its heel seam overlapping with the first one's heel seam. Now take a third sock (or whichever fits best), and fold it in half lengthwise so that it matches the width at which you folded your first two socks.

3) Compacted

You know that feeling when you come home and have a bunch of laundry to do? You're tired, you don't want to spend any more time folding your clothes, and you just want it done. If this sounds like a regular occurrence, consider getting yourself a sock of the month subscription. These services are designed to make your life easier by handling all your sock needs so you don't have to worry about it anymore! 4) Knotted

Knot your socks in a way that they will stay put and won't get tangled up with each other. This is easiest when you have one full sock and one empty sock. First, fold the sock with laces over the top of your foot as if you were putting on a shoe. Next, tie it into a tight knot. Pull on each lace so that it's tight around your ankle and secure it by tying a second knot.

5) Stacked

If you don't have time or just really can't be bothered with folding your socks, here are some other ways to keep them organized.

#1. Keep a box of socks at the foot of your bed and put each pair in it as you take them off. This is good for people who sleep on their side, but it might not work if you're a stomach sleeper.

#2. Place socks inside a dresser drawer or in a container that hangs on your door. If you place them inside dresser drawers, make sure they are folded nicely and neatly so they do not get tangled up with other clothes when opening and closing the drawers.
