sock of the month Subscription: The 5 Best Ways to Fold Your Socks!
What do you get when you combine socks, a subscription box and the convenience of not having to go to the store? A sock of the month subscription! This is one of the best ways to save time, money and space in your home by reducing the amount of clothing you have to store, but it can also be incredibly helpful if you’re always on the run and struggle with finding places to throw your dirty clothes. If you’re thinking about signing up for a sock of the month subscription, here are five great ways to fold your socks after they arrive so you’re never tripping over them again!
1) The Basic Roll
The Basic Roll is a great way to fold your socks. It's a pretty simple technique that will give you an organized sock drawer and make it easy for you to find your socks when you need them.
-Lay a single pair of socks on top of each other with their toes touching. -Fold one sock in half horizontally so that it lines up with the toes of the other sock, then continue folding until the heel lies flat against the toe. -Roll the second sock into a tube, rolling away from yourself and then tucking it inside the first sock's tube. -Repeat with any remaining pairs of socks.
2) The Army Roll
The Army Roll is a great way to fold socks. Start by rolling up your sock as you would a piece of paper, with the heel at one end and toes at the other. Once rolled up, fold in thirds vertically. Then, starting at one end, roll back and forth horizontally until you reach the other end. Then tuck in any loose ends.
This method works best for tube socks but can also be used for crew socks if you want to use this method for both types of socks.
3) The Triangle Fold
This is a great way to fold your socks if you don't have room in your dresser. All you do is take one sock and fold it over so that it can stand upright on its own. Then, take a second sock and place it on top of the first one. Take this new layer, turn it 180 degrees, and then set it back on top of the first sock. Now you have an L-shape with two layers of socks. To finish off this fold, use your hands to push down on each end so that they stay in place and then place them inside a drawer or bookcase for safekeeping.
4) The Shell Fold
This fold starts with a clean sock. You'll want to make sure that your sock is completely unfolded and smoothed out so that it's a single layer. Once you have your sock in front of you, place one hand on the top of it while placing your other hand underneath. Now, grab both ends and pull them up and over each other like an accordion fold until they meet in the middle. Then, just pinch where they meet together with both hands and voila! That's all there is to this great looking fold.
5) The Box Fold
The Box fold is a great way to fold your socks because it takes up less space and will not result in any of your socks getting squished. To do this fold, start by placing one sock in front of you with the toes facing towards you. Fold up one side about halfway and then turn it over, folding the rest down towards you. Next, place your second sock on top (toe facing away from you) with one end overlapping the other end slightly. Place both hands on either side and pull gently so that they are both lined up neatly and flat against each side.
