Sock of the Month Club Review - Is it Worth It?

sock of the month Club Review - Is it Worth It?

If you’re not familiar with the sock of the month club, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a company will send you a box of socks every month, so long as you sign up to receive it. There are many different companies that do this, but I personally use Sockbox and have been completely satisfied with my experience thus far. But does the sock of the month club actually provide good value? Read on to find out!

First Impressions

I always forget to buy socks. They are necessary items, but I tend to put them on my list last and never remember what I need until they've fallen through the rips in my current pair. But now, with a sock of the month club, that's not going to be a problem. I can just sit back and wait for my new awesome socks to show up at my door each month! Problem solved! And even better, these are adult themed so no more clown or rainbow socks for me!

Wear and Tear

I chose to try out sock of the month, a new sock-of-the-month club. I wasn’t sure what to expect and didn’t really understand why someone would want a different pair of socks every month, but I signed up anyway. I don’t know if I fully grasp their reasoning, but for $19.99/month (it will vary depending on how many pairs you choose) you get three pairs of trendy socks that are based on your preferred colour scheme (and also on your shoe size). At first glance, they seem like pretty standard athletic or dress socks and nothing really jumped out at me as unique or exciting.

Final Thoughts

So, is a sock subscription service worth it? The answer to that question will differ from person to person, but my answer is no. I’m not saying I hate sock of the month or that it isn’t valuable (I mean you get 12 pairs of socks!), but I am saying you can easily find cheaper and better quality socks elsewhere. In fact, there are so many other companies out there that make awesome designer and patterned socks that I think you’d be better off looking elsewhere for them.
