Sock of the Month Club: How to Match Your Socks with a Tie
How many times have you walked out of the house to go to work and realized your tie isn’t right? It happens to me all the time! I was able to solve my own sock/tie problem by starting my own business, sock of the month Club, in which I send quality socks directly to my clients on a monthly basis so they never have to worry about matching them with their ties ever again. The following guide will help you learn how to match your socks with your tie like a pro!
What Not to Do
It's important to consider what you wear before you put on your socks and tie. If you're wearing something light, it's better to wear lighter colored socks; if it's something dark, stick with darker colors. You want the sock color and tie color to be in balance so that they look like they were made for each other. The socks should also go up higher than your ankles. You want them just about or slightly below your knee cap. There are two schools of thought on how high is appropriate for formal events - either just below or just above. Some people say that showing more sock makes you appear taller, but others argue that it looks sloppy and throws off the proportions.
