We've all heard stories about people who are allergic to them. I know they make our feet sweat which is gross but is that really a good enough reason to wear them all day long? What if I don't want people to see my feet? What if I'm wearing socks with holes in them and I don't want anyone else seeing that? Personally, I try not to wear shoes as much as possible but when I have no choice, these are my favorite pairs.
3. Why do most people prefer thin socks?
The majority of people prefer thin socks because they are cheaper to produce and are more comfortable. Some people believe that thicker socks are better at insulating your feet from the cold, but this is not always true. Thicker socks tend to be less breathable which can lead to them getting warmer than thinner socks. Plus, they add extra weight which can lead to discomfort over long periods. Thick socks also take longer to dry after being washed or after sweating in them because there is more material for water or sweat to get trapped in. Lastly, thicker socks may not fit well with certain types of footwear like sneakers or dress shoes as they tend to bunch up around the toes.

7. Where did the word sock even come from?
It is widely believed that the word sock originates from an old English word for shoe. It is said that in 1703 there were two men living in London with the surname Soke. It is possible that these men dealt with socks in their trade or by providing services to a shoe-maker. The name may have stuck to the footwear because people used it to make a distinction between shoes and stockings.
It is also said that during World War II soldiers started wearing socks over their boots so they could avoid trench foot. This could be where they got the idea for what we now call socks.
8. The incredible benefits of wearing cotton and wool blend socks
Wearing cotton and wool blend socks is a great way to take care of your feet. Cotton absorbs perspiration from your skin while wool fibers provide warmth.
