There are a lot of different ways to tie a tie, but one of the most classic is called The Simple Half-Windsor. It produces a symmetrical knot that is perfect for business meetings and interviews. All you need to do is make an underhand loop with one end around your neck and tuck it through the other side. Then, bring both ends up over your collar and then back down under it, crossing them again at the front. Now take one end in each hand and pull gently until they feel tight against your collar. If you're going to be wearing a jacket, loosen your tie knot a little before putting on your jacket or it might constrict you when you try to put it on!
