I Tried The sock of the month Club And I Didn't Like It

While the idea of receiving new socks in the mail every month sounds like the perfect gift to give yourself, I recently tried out Philosockphy's sock of the month Club and found it to be less than satisfying. Here's why.

How I Came Across the Idea

Over Christmas, my grandmother sent me a sock of the month club gift card. It's perfect for you, she said. Indeed, socks have always been one of my favorite gifts—no better feeling than unwrapping a new pair on Christmas morning—and I wondered what kind of socks would be available through a sock-of-the-month subscription. Could there really be so many socks out there to experience? Was it even possible to wear them all in one lifetime? Could these socks somehow improve my life? Could they make me cool? Maybe that's pushing it... But still, how good could they possibly be and why had no one told me about them before?!

How I Tested The Product

This is a sock subscription service that costs $19.99 a month with free shipping and usually around 6-8 pairs of socks in every delivery. When you sign up, you fill out a profile telling them what types of socks you like to wear and if there are any brands or designs that you prefer. This can be really useful because when it comes to socks, some people love wearing fun or colorful socks but others find them uncomfortable or annoying. So if someone prefers plain socks without anything on them then maybe they shouldn’t subscribe to a sock of the month club where every pair has some kind of pattern on it!

What Is This Subscription For?

Philosockphy is a sock of the month club that bills itself as bringing love to your feet. They offer 12 months worth of fun, sexy socks delivered right to your door every month. When I first heard about Philosocks, my mind was immediately filled with thoughts of a dozen funky-looking socks waiting for me each month. However, that's not quite what you get... Keep reading to find out more! What's in each pack? Each package comes with 3 pairs of colorful men's or women's fashion socks from various different brands and styles, including casual and athletic styles.

Who Is Behind Philosockphy?

Philosockphy is a new sock subscription service that wants to help you kick your boring white socks to the curb. With three options for men and two for women, Philosockphy hopes to get their socks into every man’s sock drawer. They have socks that range from fashion forward dark patterns, to sleek bold patterns, or plain white with stripes...No matter what your taste is, they have you covered. Their motto is One pair at a time... one month at a time. No matter who you are or what kind of feet you have, Philosockphy has you covered. As a matter of fact; they will even send you an extra pair when they know your old ones are on their last leg!

My Experience with Philosockphy

In order to prevent my feet from getting smelly, I regularly use antiperspirant in some form on them. My problem is that most products require me to reapply after a few hours and when it’s hot out, sweat tends to break through easily, rendering them ineffective. After reading about Philosockphy , an antiperspirant sock subscription box that costs less than $10 per month (and hoping for cooler weather), I decided to try it. To my surprise, it did work better than regular deodorants - but only during normal activity. Once I stepped up my workouts or had long days at work, my feet would inevitably become sweaty again and stink up.

Final Thoughts and Would I Recommend Purchasing This Subscription

Overall, I can’t say that my experience with these socks was very positive. In addition to receiving a damaged package, many of these styles are extremely ugly and do not seem very high quality. Although they might be popular with younger men, older men have more refined tastes in fashion and probably wouldn’t appreciate getting some of these weird designs in their mailboxes every month. Considering how unique each style is and how slow it took to get through all twelve pairs of socks, it would probably take years before you got tired of them! If you’re over 50 years old or are just looking for some nice white dress socks for work or other formal events, I don’t recommend purchasing a sock subscription from KnitCrate or from any other similar service.
