Hey, You Should Totally Sign Up For This Sock Subscription
Over the last few years, subscription boxes have become all the rage, but most of them require you to pay upfront and wait months before you get any benefits out of it. What if there was a service that allowed you to sign up, pay month-to-month, and gave you great socks delivered straight to your door? Well, I’m glad you asked because I’ve been digging around online and found just such a company! It’s called sock of the month Club.
What it is
The delivery of new socks on a monthly basis—don’t we all need that in our lives? Sock subscriptions (also known as sock of the month clubs) are experiencing a renaissance, with more and more subscription services popping up each day. The premise is simple: you sign up for an inexpensive membership fee and enjoy at least one pair of stylish, high-quality socks delivered straight to your door every month. When it comes to subscription services (and as much as we love them), it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by choice. Some sock of the month clubs promise super-cool styles while others deliver seasonal patterns with an emphasis on practicality.
How it works
It's a club where you can sign up for a subscription to receive different kinds of socks on a monthly basis. They send out different kinds of socks each month and you get to wear them and decide if you want to keep them or not. If you don't like any of the designs they sent you in that months package, then it's easy enough to call them up and cancel your membership so that doesn't become an issue. All in all I love my sock subscription box, would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something fun to do with socks!
Why I love it so much
The price is great - less than $10/month including shipping - and each month I get a new pair of fun and quirky socks delivered right to my door. They've got funky prints for men and women, including leopard print socks, polka dot argyle socks, and awesome glow-in-the-dark skulls. I've sent out several pairs as gifts since it's such a hit with everyone on my list! Oh yeah...and you don't have to stick with just one month at a time; if you want 3 months of blue polka dots in your life (which would be fine by me!), go for it!
Pros and Cons
One of my favourite things about sock subscriptions is that they allow me to try out many different brands of socks without having to spend a lot of money. I find it fascinating how even minor details can affect fit and comfort. The drawbacks are that there's nothing particularly special about receiving several pairs of socks in one shipment (whereas you might receive a really unique gift if you just bought one pair), and that you have to wear your socks pretty quickly before they start developing holes. There's a lot to be said for buying high-quality basics that will last for years!
